These animated and live-action feature films and TV series are based on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT), a comic book by the artists Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in 1984 published by Mirage Studios (1984-2014), then IDW Publishing (2011-present). This follows Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo, four anthropomorphic turtle brothers trained in ninjutsu who fight evil in New York City.
