Dr. Henry Morris, young Earth creationist and one time head of the ICR, is seen in the film discussing how Noah's Ark could have successfully carried animals. 23 years earlier it is believed Mr. Morris underwent a breakdown. He was originally a theistic evolutionist. But in 1953 it was discovered that Piltdown Man was a forgery and man's supposed clear-cut evolutionary relationship to apes came to a crashing end. Morris had belief invested heavily in PM up until then and when discovered a fake the man lost it upstairs. He changed his mind. His whole life. In 1961 he wrote the Geneisis Flood ( with author John C. Whitcomb) and started the Young Earth Creationist movement in California. The Bible has tons of scientific accuracy ( see my postings) like, say, jet streams and it is indeed the word of God. But YEC philosophy is so utterly fraught with difficulties and a much older Earth ( like 80 thousand years)is way easier to imagine the real case.
PS Read fine books like "The hidden face of God" by Gerald Schroeder and see how an older Earth is indeed compatible with the Bible. Gotta mention Mr. Schroeder to you all somewhere!

It has been way over 60 years since the late Morris and John C. Whitcomb wrote Genesis Flood. The 10,000 -year maximum age they gave Earth and humankind was in fact never at all solid in the slightest! It could easily have been 11000 or twelve thousand or even double or triple the 10000. Their foolish claim that genealogies in the Bible would be pointless to have been multiple times longer is only their unfounded speculation. The world was created on purpose by God to be sure but it could have been 80000 years ago. Also, it ( Earth's age) will soon require another century clipped on to it.
