They should acknoledge his aging in the part of Bond. Let the actor adjust his performance of Bond with relation too his age. He is not going to be the same guy who was swinging among giant building cranes, and jumping everywhere anymore...

Well, since Blofeld is alive (and in police custody), at the end of the movie, you may have a point.

I didn't actually know he was alive and in police custody. I thought he was dead (not really dead) if you know what I mean.
