This what fascinates me about movies. They are able to capture a moment in time. It's the one thing that comes closest to time travel. If you see an old film it's like a window to the past. That's why I love vintage films.

I agree with both of you. This is one of the reasons that I love old movies also. Even if the movie is total fiction, it can still be a sort of history lesson.

I hope so. I like what see so far but I'm still spending time on IMDB saving threads from various films and TV shows. Time consuming as heck but there's not much time left. There's a site called http://www.moviechat.org/ has saved many of the threads but I think only the first page. They didn't seem to save anything from the 1978 version of The Invasion of Body Snatchers so they might have missed some others.
