Discuss The House of the Devil

Remember this is the early 80s. We weren't all issued pastel clothes and mullets on New Years day 1980.

Watch the early Friday the 13th movies. It wasn't until Part 4 that you saw the characters dressed in stereotypical 1980s fashions.

Yeah, the first couple years of the 80's were just an extension of the fashions and tastes of the 70's, though disco was definitely dead when the 80's started. Halloween (1980) was also a good example of this.

Now, Miami Vice was definitely a style influence. Since it began in 1984, pastels and Members Only-type clothing became all the rage. I don't know when Big Hair, Mullets, endless synth riffs, and boom boxes entered the picture but boy was it nice when they made their exit.
