MacMurray (John Sargent) plays a D.A , Stanwyck (Lee Leander) a shoplifter. Lee gets caught. Because it's Christmas and the D.A feeling sorry for Lee being locked up over the holiday break, decides to take her home for Christmas. Problems plus love ensue from there.
I love MacMurray and Stanwick together, great chemistry between them.
I must say I prefer Barbara Stanwyck as a natural brunette rather than a blonde. She's so much more attractive.
Great comedy/love story.

Love the leads, the story, the feel of it, the warming of heart, Beulah Bondi as MacMurray's wonderful mother, and Elizabeth Patterson as his adorable aunt. This film is feel-good all the way.
The courtroom bit is absolutely hilarious when the defense lawyer goes the hypnotism route - to the extreme - with the jury!
At the end of a perfect day
, this is a film that no one would be able to help but find irresistible and love.
