Is imagination dying. Another series into a movie. Where's all the talent of yesteryear. When writers could write an original story....or the other way around in some cases..

Here's the thing, I might get laughed at but whatever. I liked Baywatch. If we can put aside the cheesiness & boob bouncing, it opened my eyes to how hard it is to be a lifeguard. The shit they deal with on the beach and in the water. It was original at the time.

I was hoping The Rock was gonna I don't know bring a bit more seriousness to it considering the show has been a butt of jokes. He instead decided to go for the jokes. I'm kinda disappointed.

As the second half limped to its laugh-free action climax, I felt like I was drowning in a sea of boredom with not even a lame, penis-related gag to cling to, let alone a red floaty thing. 1/5

Tonally, Baywatch veers all over the place like a drunk on a speedboat, making for one of the most lackluster comedies. 1/5

Damn, the previews made it look funny so I thought this could have the same magic as "21 Jumpstreet". This was another 80s TV series turned into a raunchy rated R comedy. It was surprisingly funny and I hoped Baywatch would be the same. I guess not. Looks like I'll save this one for a cheap redbox rental. Since I passed on King Arthur I might go see that this weekend. Pirates 5 looks boring and this movie seems like it'll be a waste of time. King Artur I'm sure will at least be entertaining as a stylish Ritchie action film.

Movies like this are what make Arabs think that Americans are only about sex. If you show Baywatch to an Arab, he won't say "it's about lifeguarding on beaches, by the way there are hot chicks in it." He would say "it's about hot chicks on beaches, by the way there is some lifeguarding in it."
