Vincent Price doing another Poe story (allegedly because this can't be the story he wrote!), and Jacques Tourneur's last film! That was enough for me to stick through this. It's just, sadly, a rip off of 20,000 Leagues with Creature From the Black Lagoon thrown in. Underwater cross bows! The undersea city isn't very exciting but does have a bunch of cool statues. Like all Price horror films there's a young good looking guy and a beauty showing off her cleavage. But it's all about Vincent Price. Bonus points for the only film I can think of that has a support chicken that somehow is in nearly every scene.
