Discuss Halloween Ends

In the early days of TMDb, ratings were consistently lower than at IMDb and it made sense - more serious, sober reviews from the first wave of TMDb users who were serious-enough cinephiles to bring some literary credibility to the review process.

But now, it's flipped to absurdity - how on earth is this movie carrying a 71% (7.1/10) rating here in TMDb while barely mustering 5.1/10 (51%) at IMDb?

Because it's a wonderful movie.

There are likely more serious cinephiles here than IMDB's heyday of message boards that attracted everyone down to the lowest dregs of society.

Well, I don't know if there's going to be broad consensus that "wonderful" is an apt description of this movie but, among those who were inclined to both see it and rate it, the rating has dropped to 63%, which is quite more where I expected it to be. [edit] and which is, in my opinion, still a pretty good rating for the kind of movie this is.

That would help explain the drop in rating.
