The trailer made it seem relatively interesting, but when you watch it it's really bland and mediocre. Actually it seems like one of those dime a dozen action movies starring some B- or C-lister usually sitting with a 4 score on movie sites with the only difference being they got Stallone to star in this somehow. They could've cut out the kid and his mom entirely from the movie and it would've been a better movie and they were pretty much completely pointless whiny characters and watching their antics got old real fast.

I suspect this was somewhat intentional, invoking the inspiration/aesthetic of MNS's Unbreakable.

That said, I haven't seen it yet, so can't really speak to how it plays for me. I'll get around to it before too long and circle back.

Can you say what you were expecting?

A better movie all around. Think in terms of those really mediocre Marvel movies (some better and some a lot worse) and this one is a couple of notches below those. It's just not interesting to even watch and there is nothing new or noteworthy in the entire movie.

Oh boy, I was really hoping this movie is at least better then these Marvel movies. But I will reserve judgement until I see it.

I liked it, as I didn't have to bother with any kind of messaging or social media upheaval. Just a popcorn flick that - with some tweaking - would fit right into the 1990's.

Would totally appreciate something like that.

It's currently rating at 70% here on TMDb - that's pretty good. You may not have liked it, but it seems to be finding its audience.

Don't feel bad - there are movies that are popular that I don't love. It happens. Be you.

I enjoyed it for what it was. A turn off your brain action movie that takes you back to the 90s

It felt like a 12-year-old film, with 12-year-old dialogue and a childish storyline. But I don't think the 12-year-olds liked it either.
