Discuss Strangers on a Train

The runaway merry-go-round is a spectacular scene, but does it really belong in this movie? Would the police fire wildly in a crowded carnival? Or is it a convenient way to get rid of Bruno without really tackling the underlying moral issues?

Yes: Definitely unlikely that the police would fire away indiscriminately at a villain on a spinning merry-go-round when others are around and could just as easily get shot and killed.
