An insurance agent, a femme fatale (blonde of course) and murder... Best scene I think was in the boss's office back at the insurance company after the murder.. Don't want to give anything away just in case you haven't seen it

I particularly like the very last scene. A powerful ending does a lot for a film!

This really is a sensational film. The dialogue is razor-sharp, the performances of Stanwyck (despite that atrocious wig), MacMurray and Robinson are all tremendous. The scene referenced by the OP is certainly one of the most memorable but kudos also for the ending, which packs a powerful punch. A great, great movie.

Whenever I think of this film, the famous scene in the grocery store is always, immediately, the first image that comes to my mind.

Did anyone notice (I'm sure you did) that Fred MacMurray was wearing a wedding ring. Don't know whether he forgot to take it off or not, but it was a little distracting.

That scene was in Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. Actually MacMurray was, Steven Martin played Phyllis with a bad wig( or was it the other way around. can't quite recall). I loved trying to remember all the movie scenes, and you had to be quick.

I saw Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid (I think twice, actually) in a theatre and totally ate it up! Had me totally in my element!
PS: I still do DVDs and just now ordered DMDWP!

A great ending is essential for a good film. I'd briefly forgotten if Robinson is in the ending, which I respect, too. But he does a lot for it with his performance opposite Fred MacMurray.

Still one of my favourite movies of all time, from one of my favourite directors of all time.
