Discuss The Doris Day Show

It was a two-parter. A Howard Hughes-like billionaire (played by veteran actor Lew Ayres) pretends to be a hobo and goes to menial labor work for Doris Day's character (Doris Martin) at her farm. Some rich looking fellas pull up in a big fancy car to get Ayres to sign some papers. Ayres while signing them sees Doris pulling up in her own car and then getting out of her vehicle to look at the strangely wealth-looking proceedings going on (remember she thinks he's a poor, unfortunate hobo). The acting gets very deep at this point. They zoom in on a close-up of Ayres staring slowly at Day while he slowly puts down the paper he was signing. There's no verbal exchange. You hear some music and see a freeze frame shot of the farmhouse. A narrator says tune in next week. Scary! Unbelievably so!

It was somewhat more Ayres who was scary in this. Plus, the way they suddenly showed the still of the farm house with eerie music playing.
