Upon Mr. Drysdale's advice to buy good stock, Jed purchases cows, pigs, and chickens to raise. Granny prepares her special mash to help cure Mrs. Drysdale of her drinking problem. Meanwhile, Mrs. Drysdale is convinced she's imagining things, because she sees Granny hovering outside her window and sees a goat and a chicken in her bathroom.

Elly May starts wearing dresses but takes it as an insult when someone says she looks like a city girl. Mr. Drysdale talks Jed into taking in his butler Ravenswood and upstairs girl Marie in a plan to civilize the Clampetts, but they don't quite understand the idea of servants.

Mrs Drysdale is having a garden party & tells the Clampetts not to attend. They misunderstand & think she wants them to come. When they arrive they are bored so Mrs Drysdale sends them back next door to handle the Overflow crowd. Eventualy the whole party ends up at the Clampetts & they show these Beverley Hills folk how to have a real party.

A television, a boat, and a chimpanzee are among the many gifts Mr. Drysdale gives to the Clampetts for Christmas. Granny thinks the TV is some kind of fancy washing machine. Mr. Drysdale hopes that if the Clampetts enjoy the boat enough, they won't want to go back to the hills.

Mrs Drysdale's father arrives & is a little short of cash. After hearing that Jed next-door is a millionaire he invites himself over for a game of poker. Mrs Drysdale's Father is winning until Granny sits in on the game & then she ends up with all the winnings. Mrs Drysdale's father then shoots some pool with Jed but he loses again.
