There are plans for a permanent moon base and the first American Lunar Colony on the moon.
And from there to Mars and further beyond as finally the human conquest of space can begin.

It's sad that Sally Ride - the first American woman to fly in space - herself could not be present to welcome it back. She passed away on July 23, 2012 at the age of 61.
