I read that Melissa George is/going to be Vina in one of the newer/reboot shows. Sorry, Melissa George is attractive, and I really enjoyed her show "Hunted," but Vina has to be more than that.

She already played Kurtzman's version of Vina on STD season 2 back in 2019.
Is she coming back for Strange New Worlds or something?

Dunno, I just hadn't heard of her being Vina until now.

Melissa George appeared as Vina in the episode ST: Discovery: "If Memory Serves (S2E08, 2019)". Although I liked the scene of the reunion between her and Pike, I'd prefer to ignore this episode as part of the original time line. Vina is now a woman who acts as a liaison between the Talosians and Burnham. Here the Talosians are just instrumental in helping NuSpock with his visions. This all depreciates the emotional, dreamy impact of "The Cage". It feels too real and the illusory aspect is lost. If Vina appears in "Strange New Worlds" too, the bitter sweet ending of "The Cage" would lose its significance. It'll then not be 'goodbye until "The Menagerie"'', but more like 'goodbye, see you soon in "Strange New Worlds" and any other new series to get more viewers'.

How would Vina leave Talos IV considering what a physical wreck she is, without the illusion provided by the Talosians?
Or did they stupidly retcon that too?

She was an illusion, like Commodore Mendez.
Pike: "You didn't deceive anyone, Vina. I felt it, too. But you're here now. This is real."
Vina :"As real as it needs to be. But the Talosians ability to project illusions across space is limited. And the farther away you are, the harder it is to sustain."

Well it's not worth actually watching the show to find out more for myself, but as long as she's not supposedly leaving the planet and/or engaging in physical activities that her real damaged self would not be capable of, it just stinks, it's not totally ridiculous.

If the writers didn't need the Talosians for some future plot, they would've transfered her consciousness to an android body.

Not that, again!

I thought that Melissa George did a fine job in this particular episode. It would be interesting to see how her role could be expanded in Strange New Worlds without the Canon Extremist Trekkies having temper tantrums about it.

She is attractive, sure, but Vina was supposed to represent a "dream woman" and she doesn't do justice to that the way Susan Oliver did in the 60s.

I thought that Melissa George did a great job as Vina. Especially when she appears in Captain Pike's ready room. It was a very romantic scene.

Still she is no where near the beauty of Susan Oliver . And besides the current writers and good Star Trek

Give it a rest, Nex. If you hate Discovery so much, why are you watching the episodes and posting comments about them? Seems rather illogical.
