In "The Changeling" Uhura gets her memory zapped by Nomad and then the Enterprise unbelievably get her back to college level within days. In "Best of Trek" books back in the 70s and 80s fans pointed out the Enterprise crew's ways of reeducating her seemed hardly ahead of ours. I concur completely. I previously showed in former postings how ( in "The Menagerie")Spock recreated Kirk's voice electronically all too simply and so on. ( See my old postings!)
PS Would have better if the crew had a teacher machine like the one seen in 'Spock's Brain' to use for rare instance where somebody lost their memory and knowledge.

Why is this so unbelievable?
Don’t really know the episode, but did they even say how long it took to get Uhura’s memory back to the college level?
We are talking about a time when they can disassemble someone's molecules in one location; and reassemble them in another...with no harm done. A time when they can regenerate organs without any kind of invasive procedure.
Why is it so hard to believe that they could 'juice' Uhura’s memory in whatever amount of time they claimed?
Is it really fair to ‘randomly’ put a limit on what they could/could not do then…based only on our knowledge of what can be done now?
ON ANOTHER NOTE: It's common knowledge that the episode where they play "hide-and-go-seek" with Spock's brain is universally considered the worst episode of the series.

It could have been solved by using the transporter, but that's another topic.
