Ridley Scott has said the appearance of Noomi Rapace in Alien: Covenant was supposed to be a surprise which is why he said she wasn't returning

Correct, and she is part of the cast now. The report is over a year old.

Faaak, heard about it on Colbert. I do not like her. She was awful in Prometheus. The part wasn't the best, but she overacted in several scenes and that really bugged me. Surprised Scott used her in the first place, and now returning? ugh!
