Discuss All the Right Moves

they make the Goal line stand and instead of going into victory formation (in a monsoon no less) has rifleman hand the ball off only to fumble. He admittedly knows he screwed up with that call but still. That's a coach who wasn't prepared. Also that running back for the rich school ran roughshod on Ampipe until that goal line stand. That 62 Monster Stack defense wasn't doing crap.

Yeah! C.T. Nelson was a genius at playing a jack ass in the 80's. I read in the local paper back then that the police used to ticket him all the time for overly aggressive driving and speeding. Just been watching it again on Starz Encore this past month.

As far as "Nickerson's" call; he was still trying to impress the Cal Poly athletic directors Cal Poly SLO?! I never understood why they chose that school for the script. If the screenwriter was thinking about a possible sought out program in 1983 California outside of the NCAA 1-AA Division1, it should've been Santa Clara University , Cal State Fullerton or even Pasadena Ciry College.

My armchair QB call: Veer Right QB Dive, use the FB and HB to prevent the opposing players from direct contact by covering the QB, and taking the safety if necessary.
