Don't know if anyone else noticed this, but there is a definite plot hole in Terminator 2. In the first movie, Kyle Reese explained how time travel works to Doctor Silberman. He said, and I quote: "you go through naked...something about the field generated by a living organism.' Now the terminator could go through because it's covered in living tissue. But the T-1000 is just liquid metal, and is NOT covered in living tissue. it never was. So how did it time travel? Looks like they overlooked this to me.

I hate films that leave things "open to interpretation" - that is not my job - it is the job of the film-makers - it is all too easy to leave things unexplained and blame the audience for having no imagination. Lazy writing. That being said I still like this film.

True.
When I was younger, I thought everything in the story was wrapped up nicely, but after years and years of re-watching it and hearing people challenge certain things, it makes sense that these are plot holes or inconsistencies. I too, still really enjoy this film though. I can't deny the first two Terminator films even with the issues.

The annoying thing is that this particular inconsistency could have been explained so easily by having say - a homeless man pick up what he thinks is a fur coat and then throwing it away with repulsion. The audience would have got it. I liked The Terminator as well - apart from the grotesque over reaction of the overweight woman in the bar when Arnie walks in in his birthday suit - she was a terrible actress - and the overdone acting of Sarah Connors flatmate when she was drying her hair or something - it is so long ago now I can't recall exact details only the memory of how she irritated me !!

I agree - I loved the music in them too - it was so effective - particularly the truck chase scene.
