This was in the UK a few years back. The people involved were on welfare and perhaps had learning difficulties. I'm surprised reviewers and those involved in the film haven't seemed to have made the connection.

Totally not. I imagine there might be some kind of outrage if the general public and media pick up on this. It was all a bit nasty because it came off the back of another missing child, but she was never found.
