Discuss Avengers: Infinity War

Red Skull, I was so glad to see him make another appearance.

Agree completely. I never expected Red Skull to ever return, on account of Weaving not seeming willing to continue the character. And it was a pleasant surprise!

And in fact it wasn't Hugo Weaving. It was Ross Marquand, who plays Aaron on The Walking Dead. Hugo isn't interested in this type of thing anymore and has stated as much. Marquand is a master impressionist. There's some vids on the web of him doing some great ones.

Are we sure that's really the Red Skull? He woukd have to be over a century old if so and he certainly wasn't frozen like Captain America.

It was Red Skull. Sent there by the Tesseract, cursed by the Soul Stone. A stone keeper or something, he probably doesn't age normally.

It never bothered me that he was recast. He is unrecognizable behind all the make-up and it has been almost a decade since Weaving. I have suggested that solution before, both for Red Skull and Abomination.

Although I liked seeing him I was disappointed not to hear Hugo's distinctive voice behind it.

it help piece the universe together even more along with the gift eye scene

Hopefully we will see him again, maybe even fighting Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes again.
