Personally, I loved La La Land but Moonlight was amazing and absolutely worthy of that win. These two stood out for me, the rest was average or downright terrible (I'm thinking Hell or High Water which tbh felt like a bad Coen-movie). I love the previous work of Denis Villeneuve but Arrival was boring and Fences just didn't work for me as a movie, but it is no doubt a well-written play.
