Discuss The Discovery

The premise for this film is compelling. Just hoping it delivers.
It's also a challenging subject from a theological view which could cause some blowback.

It's not compelling after the first scene.

It sounds like the film makers completely missed the mark on presenting the story. I haven't seen the film and am going by reviews which are consistent in opinion.

I'd say they did. What starts out as the most compelling discovery ever made, turns into some kind of half-assed, part time investigation coupled with some low grade romance and Jason Seagull mumbling all over the place. And then, it all resolves out with the realization that the afterlife they thought they discovered was just some kind of alternate reality.

Yeah, the movie had a really compelling premise, but the execution wasn't great.
