Discuss Sorry to Bother You

Without giving away any spoilers, this movie does a great job showing an honest look into the typical sales person's mind.

No matter what sales industry a lot of sales people are the same way they feel entitled, an inflated self worth, they are not genuine they turn on the "white voice" or whatever it takes to get the deal going and closed. Most do come across moral dilemmas or say they would never do this or that but when that new starting salary is offered to them then it all goes out the window.

I get it we all have our problems, needs, drama, struggle, and we got to do what we need to do to survive especially in this current climate and economy. But often times it comes down to justifying our shady decisions and why we do what we do.

I know this movie is pointing out a deeper point in capitalism as a whole and the very corrupt powers that be that are on the very top controlling everything, but for my personal discussion on this movie, I think sales people as a whole do have a bad rep as being fake, shady, untrustworthy, and greed, shallowness, materialism are all part of the bigger problem.

Many do sell their souls to just make a few bucks or get a head on the corporate ladder and its just horrible all around.

In short I think this is why one should support small businesses and the small business owner over the shady corrupt large corporations!

That’s a cynical viewpoint and not executed very well. The movie flopped. Too bad, so sad. Try next time.

What are you talking about its an indie film first of all and its not even officially opened yet just limited release.

So what is your viewpoint then? Or are you just trolling?

his remarks had nothing to do with what you said. I agree about your statements on sales people over at bigger companies. but you also have to remember, the people who can afford their services typically are paying more for that "white voice" because they can.

I just think we as a society as whole should just be better people and treat each other better. Not try to screw one another just to make a buck or climb up the corporate ladder.

If we always have to watch our back 24/7 from shady people or even our own neighbors and friends from trying to screw us over and con us constantly what kind of life is that?

It flopped. Now what's your excuse?

Please excuse the movie for not being a typical marvel film made for short attention span viewers. Have you ever heard of the saying " dont judge a book by its cover?"

The sad, hopeless reality that we live in...

We should be better people and treat each other better, but it will never happen.

Is it even possible for an art film to flop? If the intention of an art film is not to make money?
