Initially rated 16LS, Inxeba has now been reclassified as 18X by the South African Film & Publication Board. This rating is reserved for hardcore pornography, even though there is no hardcore pornography in the movie. The new rating means the movie must be pulled from all cinemas in South Africa. It's available to see on the American Netflix, if you're curious.

Just an update for anyone curious: the court provisionally uncensored the movie while it decides on the merit of the reclassification of the movie as 18X by the Appeals Tribunal. That means it's now watchable in South African theatres again.
