Discuss Joker

The more I watch the trailer the more Taxi Driver vibes I get. NYC for location. Takes place in the 70/80s. Keeping diaries, emaciated leads, dates with a 'normal' woman/trying to be normal, Travis became a vigilante, a story about a dark decent into madness. You can tell Arthur is getting crushed hard by the city of Gotham. Joaquin Phoenix is terrifying in this. I think this film is aiming for Oscar gold with this.

And a great source of inspiration that is too. The film looks great.

I guess with it being set so long ago that rules out the possibility of him being integrated into the rest of the DC Universe. Which is a shame for them because that world would improve so much with this guy in it.

Well you never know. If its a big hit Im sure they can come up with something. Maybe even put in an after credit scene in the new Batman film.
