Discuss Joker

Arthur Fleck is an impulsive, agressive loser. He is nothing like the comic book Joker, he would never be able to terrorize a whole city like the crime prince of clown. He is certainly no mastermind. Not to mention the design sucked ass and was nothing like the Joker from the comics.

Heath Ledger is still the best on screen Joker to date. He gave a better performance, had a better design and had more memorable lines. The Dark Knight is the superior movie.

I think the character doesn't work without Batman . They are ying and yang, they complete each other. Also you definitely are not supposed to root for the Joker, that is just sick.

I give the movie 6 out of 10 stars for the effort of making something original but flawed and for the acting performance of Phoenix. I would like it better if it was not called Joker because it has nothing to do with the actual Joker.

^ I agree with you here. It didn't really captivate me as much without a Batman character being there. Otherwise, it's just basically a psycho clown story. Don't call it "The Joker".

The TV Batman always had stunning, beautiful ladies. No real stunning lady with a speaking part in Joker!

Ya know, Batman was once a cartoony TV show character from the 60's. We're a little more sophisticated now, aren't we?

The TV Batman had murder, action, classical references, romance, deep themes, plus both comic book elements and immense realism. It is far from your old harmless childhood friend of a series most people who have not watched it in 20 or 30 years think it is. What have we supposedly gotten more sophisticated about?

The Animated Series was incredibly dark. I think I actually prefer that to any of the movies (at the moment).

The character in the movie looks quite plausible but I think we're all not much of a Joker
