Discuss Mad Max: Fury Road

I will confidently say that this is one of the greatest action films out there! May not be the best - that is subjective by person, and I'm not sure even I would say it - but among them! One of the things that elevates the film for me, in particular, is the fact that the protagonists are never safe and the threat is basically always looming. Love it!

Anyone know other films like that, where the threat is always there?

I would say that The Raid: Redemption is one of them, where the protagonist is never safe and the threat is always there. Not the same type of action flick.

Have you seen that film?

I would also like to add that I love both the raid films and fury road.

I have definitely seen it, own both, love both, and agree completely that it is a film where, once it starts, it doesn't really stop!

Dredd is much like the Raid. Cool slo mo effects and world building too. Check it.

Own everything mentioned. Great films!

You're not going to get as much action but survival/hunt/chase films like The Naked Prey have that constant tension.

I don't know that one, and that is hard to do! Will look it up!

Someone described it as two hour car chase.

If you mean Fury Road then yes, George Miller, the director described it that way. It's where and why the chase is happening that makes it. Seems people who don't like this flick couldn't figure out the universe it's set in.

Definitely one of the best action movies. Raid is up there too, both episodes. Other than these it's off course Terminator 2 and Die Hard.
