Supposedly it filmed in Dec 2022, and I found one blurb that claims it's actually in post-production:

"John Wick 4 is one of the seven projects Reddick filmed before his death. The actor is also slated to star in Ballerina, White Men Can’t Jump, Shirley, Apteros, St. Sebastian and The Caine Mutiny Court-Marial, all of which are in post-production or completed." - Decider 3/23/2023

So you never know, maybe they got enough filmed to complete the project with him in it? If they did film in Dec 2022, filming schedules rarely go beyond 30-45 days so I would think they got all his scenes.

I won't hold my breath though, I don't see any mentions of Apteros on the production company's site, independent-ent.com so my guess is that it has quietly gone into hibernation until further notice.

I know right? This is one of the few new scifi films that caught my attention.

Well there's potentially good news... as I was hunting around for more info I found Apteros on the official list of films for sale at Cannes 2023. This means it's completed and they're looking for a distributor.

Another possibly good sign is since it's not shown on the production co's website for sale, maybe that actually means they found a distributor already? The bottom line is it looks like it's completed and it's just a matter of time before it gets released somehow...
