Since actor Ray Fisher was the first to speak up about director Joss Whedon, new evidence came to light that he was abusive and controlling, and this coming from the casts of Buffy and Angel! I'm both surprised and disappointed, for Whedon did made those awesome as well as Firefly and eventually the Avengers film. That said, after he took over from fellow director Zack Snyder with Justice League, that film received negative feedback and this was because Whedon apparently made some drastic changes to it (like he had no respect for Snyder's vision).

And with all these speculations about him, it seems that his film making career may be over! If it gets more serious, then the film industry may force Whedon to retire. What are your thoughts?

That that post could've been made here? stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye

As far as Whedon goes, I'd like to read more detail than "he was mean to me".

When Ray Fisher first kicked off, I thought the suggestion was that Whedon was racist, which I found very hard to believe. If it hadn't been for Jason Momoa's support, I'd have dismissed it as a little known actor feeling out of sorts due to not getting a big enough part. (Not a surprise; how many are clamouring for a Cyborg movie and hasn't Whedon basically done Cyborg with Deathlok in SHIELD?)

Now that the girls are joining in, I'm more surprised that he's not had more serious accusations to face. He does seem to have a thing for tiny ladies... As it stands, I'm pretty sure that a lot of directors are controlling even these days. OTH if he's so bad, why does he have people who keep coming back to work with him (including Dushku in three shows)?

often played favourites, pitting people against one another to compete and vie for his attention and approval

Surely that only works if people choose to play that game?

Also, whilst I'm aware that this isn't going to make me popular, I'm leaning more and more towards Anti-Natalism and feel that if Carpenter had the need, the need to breed, it was a bit of a cheek to expect the whole show and the jobs of many people to make changes purely to accommodate her biological impulses.

Anyway, Whedon has made some great shows and films. I don't think he's a saint; he certainly seems to have done the dirty on his ex-wife. I'd like to see more damning evidence than has been presented so far before refusing to watch The Nevers on principle, but silence is a bit damning.
