Discuss Kristen Stewart

IMDB says this is a "Drama, Mystery, Thriller" and that is far more accurate than the trailer which makes it look like a horror movie. While there are a few scares it is much more a story about a woman trying to find herself after the death of her twin brother. She works as a "shopper" for celebrity clients who cannot go out and do their own; but really would rather hang around her dead brothers home waiting for a "sign" from him.

I watched this knowing it was more a drama than horror and thought it very well done. For the guy in me, a couple nude or near nude scenes with Kristen were a surprise and confirmed what I already knew; she is a beautiful natural woman. No implants or any such nonsense.

I haven't yet seen this movie, will probably have to wait for DvD or cable TV on demand. Kristen is getting really excellent reviews for her performance in this. She has been doing some very good roles and getting more notice for them for the last five or six years, since she became well known from Twilight. Seems some reviewers had little idea what she was capable of and have been very surprised and impressed with her work. Though prior to Twilight she did play some similar strong roles and also got good reviews for her serious work in them.

The "Twilight" fame was so overwhelming that I think critics forgot anyone had a past before it! She was very good in "Panic Room" (just a kid then, 12 I think) and in a horror film called "The Messengers".

Also good in Speak and The Cake Eaters, won praise for Into the Wild. During Twilight she did The Runaways about Joan Jett's early band days where she and Dakota Fanning did the singing and did a great job at it. She was good in Adventureland, a small film that didn't get much attention but she and the film was pretty well praised by film critics.

She's a brilliant actress. I'd say she was dying to finish up the TWILIGHT franchise by the end!
