Discuss The Consultant

There were a few flashes of brilliance...but, it also developed interesting ideas that didn't go anywhere, left too many loose ends and didn't make a whole lot of sense, ultimately leaving me thinking "WTF did I just watch?"

Sad waste.

There could have, should have, been something there to work with. The actors were all capable, and it must have been a thrill for them to share the screen with a player like Christoph Waltz. It'd have been nice if this show could have kept them all working more than one very short season.

Thanks @bratface! This article neither explained any of the loose ends nor provided any concrete info that a season 2 might be in the works to explain it all, but I appreciate writers have to write, even if have nothing worthwhile to say.

Here's one from Den of Geek but it more or less says the same thing?

So is Patoff a robot/humanoid?

I'd suggest he's got some weird obsession with immortality that had him replacing his bones with gold. But, realistically, SOMEONE would have noted how heavy he is and, frankly, it'd have been much harder for him to move his own self around, let alone sit in a regular chair. Gold is frickin' heavy!

Bones are also living. Gold, though malleable, wouldn't behave the same way, wouldn't knit with tendons...the notion is preposterous.
