Under the new junkyard rules, captain from each team recruit members at the start of each match. After a wheel cover toss to decide who to pick first, each team captain choose a member out of a lot, starting with 6 people. Red team is led by Crash, while blue team is lead by Bowser.

Each team builds a ship to rescue the team captain, then sink the ship in the middle of water, then race back to the starting point to win.

Team members Lin Dog, a hard-core fabricator Gus, a race car mechanic Mad Man (red), an off-the-wall welder Sparky, a body man Heckle and Jeckle, the twin aircraft mechanics

During the race, Red team rescued the captain first, but it took longer time to sink the floating ship. Blue team won in a close race by ringing the bell first.

These two captains have ten hours to build rock crawlers capable of climbing and racing across a desert mountain course strewn with killer boulders and treacherous sand traps. Each team has three chances. Whoever can go the distance in the fastest time will be the winner.

Both teams have ten hours to build combines, or in this case, combat harvesters. The machine that cuts the most crop in a pristine oat field will be crowned the combine king.

Blue team built a delivery truck to have chopper mounted in front of the truck, connected to the back of the vehicle with a duct going through the windscreen. Red team mounted lawnmowers at the rear of a van, with a driver on top of the van to control the height of the lawnmowers.

Each team spent 10 hours to build a giant crane capable of lifting heavy car parts of up to 500 pounds, located at the bottom of a cliff. In addition, they also have to lift bowling balls at the bottom of the cliff.

Both teams have just ten hours to build vehicles and devices to navigate their way through a mind-bending junk maze located somewhere within Mojave desert. But here's the catch: they won't be able to see a thing! Each team will have three attempts to feel their way blindfolded to victory. Whoever makes it the furthest, or completes it quickest, will win.

During the race, nobody was able to get exactly to the goal, but Red team won by finishing the race with team's own vehicle being closest to the goal.

Both teams have only ten hours to build mobile weapon systems that can shoot down weather balloons — which are floating thirty feet above the ground. To help them in this quest are six Junkyard Warriors — the very best of the original field of twenty-four.

Racing team members from NASCAR, Indy Racing League, and NHRA leagues spent 10 hours to build race cars that can run fast in staight line, a chicane road course, and an oval track. First course is a 1/8-mile-long drag strip, second course is a 5-lap road course, third course is run in 1/3-mile oval circuit for 10 laps. The combined scores in first two course will decide the pole positions of the drivers in third race, with the highest scored car at first. The triple track winner would be the one that finish first in the final round.

In the first match of the UK tournament, members from Royal Air Force (The Squadron) and Royal Navy (Destroyers) built a wheelie car and race it along the legendary Santa Pod race track.

In race day, both teams drove their vehicles in stright and curved tracks. Destroyers won.

A team of police officers (Cops and Bodgers) and a trio of techies (Men in White) built remotely-controlled machine that can cut through electrified fencing, tackle deadly toxic waste, and dispose of dangerous bombs set to explode at the slightest knock.

In challenge day, each team won one of the fence-cutting and toxic waste dumping events. In the bomb disposal event, Cops and Bodgers was able to safely disarm the last bomb, but Men in White failed in all 3 attempts.

A chunky team of student farmers (Muckspreaders) and a troop of Essex scout leaders (Ging Gang Goolies) built vehicles that can all four team members, and can be packed into 4 suitcases. To further complicate matters, they have to drive downhill, pack up the vehicle and carry the suitcase across treacherous terrain (including crawling through a tent tunnel), then reassemble the vehicle and racing to the finish line.

In race day, Muckspreaders led in first two part of the race. In the final part of the race, Muckspreaders team used foot to help accelerate the vehicle and was disqualified.

A trio of slick-backed 1950s-style rockers from Sheffield (Rockin' Rabble) and a team of barmy bus mechanics from Bucks (Double Deckers) built amphibious motorcycles.

A team of Surrey estate agents (Hot Property) and a trio of jet engine fanatics from Northamptonshire (Jet Pack) built the fastest ice racing vehicles from a pile of scrap.

An all-female team (Iron Maidens) and, a trio of medieval battle enthusiasts from Yorkshire (Jousters) built machines that shoot giant darts to a giant dart board. Iron Maidens built a spring loaded catapult-like thrower, Jousters built a crossbow made from wood.

In challenge day, first attempt by both teams failed to launch darts fell short. In the second attempt, Jousters fired the dart to the board, but hit just below the centre; the dart launched by Iron Maidens failed to reach target. In the final attempt, Jousters overpulled the trigger and broke the bow. As a desperate measure, Iron Maidens tried to fire the dart by putting the spring directly behind the dart. The dart launched by Iron Maidens still fell before reaching target, even more so than previous attempt.

A crew of engineers from the Royal Navy (The Destroyers) and a troop of scoutmasters from Essex (Ging Gang Goolies) built jet-powered cars. Once they've built their jet racers, they would have 3 chances to obtain the fastest speed at the legendary drag strip at Santa Pod.

A trio of Hampshire policemen (Cops and Bodgers) and three of Yorkshire's finest (Jousters) in a battle to bodge up the fastest boats in Junkyard history.

To celebrate 100th anniversary of the first flight by Wright brothers, teams from U.S., U.K. and France built flying machines capable of stop exactly at the red line located in the middle of a dry lakebed in California's Mojave Desert - using materials and tools in 1900s. In addition to 20 hours build time, each team had 2 hours of decoration time, 2 test flights, and a modern FAA-approved engine to power the vehicles.

The American Eagles built Walden IX; The British Buzzards built a hybrid based on Wright Flyer (1912 version)'s wings, French Antoinette's tail, and Bill Brooks' original fuselage; The French Falcons built Blériot XI.

In race day, the USA team vehicle faile

In this episode, each team has to build a "Dune Buggie" which has to be able to withstand the hard conditions of the desert. Then, the vehicles will be taken to the desert to test them in a competition. Contestants 'Junkyard Hogs' vs. 'Superchargers'

Challenge to build the most accurate and destructive cannon. The objective to break the most concrete bricks in the opponent's wall. The ultimate way to deal with traffic jams would be to push the offending cars out of the way and go through. Well, for the High Flyers and Big Shots, that dream is about to come true. The will be building a machine that will power it's way through a gauntlet of cars. A bunch of cars have been strewn down a track. The team that has the fastest total time after 3 runs (and a different driver each time) through the cars will advance. However, if they go outside of the yellow boundaries on the sides of the track, they incur a ten second penalty. So it isn't just speed...it's precision as well.

For the High Flyers, it's all about the traction. Using a monsterous truck for a base, they will add a second axle to the rear and wrap the two tires with tank treads. Combine a big engine and those massive footprints and put a big plow on the front and you have a bulldozer...in essence. However, adding a second axel isn't exactly a walk in the park. Neither will finding a big, reliable engine? This machine will have to be just plain tough!

The Big Shots are going for power. A big truck chassis and a big engine will give them lots of power and strength to withstand any major collisions. However, their plow is going to resemble a cow catcher (like you used to see on old time locomotives). The trick is that they will put their blade at the rear and drive in reverse. This will protect the engine and give them some low-range power. Again, finding a good engine might be the problem.

Challenge for each team to build a raft that can carry two team members out of scrap. Then race the rafts up and down a white water course trying to avoiding rocks and not capsize. The team that completes the course in fastest time wins and advances to the next round. They have 3 laps to get the fastest time. It will be a hot time in the junkyard this episode as the Auto Amigos take on the Dirty Drivers in a fast and furious challenge to build a trike powered by a jet-engine. The race will consist of three trips down a one-eighth mile track...one at a time. The team that records the fastest time in any of their three trips will advance to the semi-finals.

The Dirty Drivers are building a true jet engine on a lightweight frame. A propane tank will provide the gas and a spark plug will act as the ignition source. The key ingredient will be a turbo-charger from a truck. The turbo charger has two fans that turn in opposite directions. One fan will suck the propane into a combustion tank while the other will suck the heated air out and through a nozzle. If there's time, they also want to build an afterburner which should increase their speed. An afterburner ignites any remaining gasses in the chamber for added thrust. Time is NOT on their side.

The Auto Amigos, on the other hand, are going for a thermo-jet engine. A car engine will be attached to a large fan. The fan will suck air into a large tube which will be funneled out the back. Around the back side of the fan are a series of nozzles which will spray a mist of gasoline into the tube. A spark plug will ignite the propane causing a jet of hot air (and flames) to shoot out the back. This is going to be heavy so a big, beefy, sturdy frame will be necessary. The weight might slow them down and cost valuable seconds.

Challenge to build a glider that can stay aloft for the longest time. The course is a large hill. One team goes for a traditional design the other goes more radical. In this episode, each team has to build a sled-puller tractor which has to be under 2000 lbs. Then, the tractors will be tested in a competition which consists in pulling a medium-sized sled through a simple course. The team that pulls the sled further wins. Challenge to build to a torpedo that can maneuver around obstacles in the water to reach the enemy ship and hit a target to register a kill. The best of five head-to-head rounds wins. In this episode, each team has to build a machine which has to be able to launch heavy objects. It doesn't matter if they build a catapult, a giant robot, etc... Then, the machines will be tested in a competition which consists in launching a 150 lb washing machine as far as possible without destroying it until it crashes into the floor. Contestants "High Flyers" vs. "Superchargers"

In this episode, each team has to build an amphibious vehicle which has to resist sea water. Then, the buggies will be tested in a competition which consists in "saving" a mannequin from an island - passing through the beach and the sea - in the less time possible. Contestants "Jet Doctors" vs. "Auto Amigos"

In this episode, each team has to build a car which has to be able to hit a ball with precision. Then, the cars will be tested in a very strange competition which consists in getting the lowest score in a giant-sized 3-hole short golf match. Contestants "Jet Doctors" vs. "High Flyers"

Slick-backed 1950s-style rockers from Sheffield (Rockin' Rabble) and a crew of slick estate agents from Surrey (Hot Property)built fully functioning fire engines. Each vehicle would be tested for a race to resuce a stranded doll on second floor of a wooden house, a race to douse the burning barbecue grill, then the race to douse the flame on the wooden house.

Rockin' Rabble built on top of a pickup truck with a giant tank and a paddle pump. Hot Property built from a van with a smaller tank and pump.

In challenge day, Hot Property won the rescue race, Rockin' Rabble led on barbecue grill event. In third race, Rockin' Rabble's vehicle's pump broke, so the teammates had to use water bucket. Hot Property eventually ran out of water, but not before dousing most of the flame. Hot Property won the third round and the match.

In the second semi-final, three policemen from Hampshire (Cops and Bodgers) and a team from the Royal Navy (Destroyers) built curling machines that can skim full size, wheel-less cars across an ice rink. The winning team would be the one that has its car closest to the centre. Destroyers built a chain driven, motorized pushing arm; Cops and Bodgers built a gravity-driven hammer.

In challenge day, the machine from Destroyers was broken, but eventually fixed. Destroyers won.

In the final of the UK tournament, a team of naval engineers from Portsmouth (Destroyers) and a bunch of estate agents from Surrey (Hot Property) built tanks that can pass over the rough terrain and shoot predetermined targets. Destroyers built a 6-wheel drive tank, Hot Property built tread-driven tank.

In challenge day, the tank from Destroyers was able to finish the course with a broken turret. Hot Property's tank, however, was high-centred when driving over a uphill slope. The tread failed to push the tank across the slope and the team failed to finish the race.

A team of engineers from Jaguar (The Catalysts) and season 12 champions (Destroyers) built Grand Prix racing cars capable of taking on Britain's fastest circuit. The Catalysts built a car with engine behind the driver, Destroyers built a car with engine in front of the driver.

In challenge day, The Catalysts won the race and Grand Final.

In the Scrappy Races series, five teams - The Barley Pickers, The Megalomaniacs, Chaos Crew, Boat Buoys and The Green Goddesses - build road-legal vehicles capable of being adapted to take on a different challange each week. The first episode follows the teams on their initial build, leading up to the vehicles being put through the government roadworthiness examination and then a spin round the Scrappy Races test circuit.

The teams have to put out fires in a dumpster, car and pallet from 20' as fast as the can.

The teams travel to South Wales for their first proper challenge. They have eight hours on a local scrapheap to adapt their vehicles before taking them out for speed trials on the Pendine Sands, home to attempts on the World Land Speed Record since the 1920s.

Teams led by Hackett and Colonel Dick have to build assault vehicles capable of driving over several types of rough terrain and breaking down walls to rescue their captains from captivity.

The Scrappy Races motorcade travels to Tong in Yorkshire, where the teams adapt their vehicles to take on a torturous all-terrain course.

The challenge: fire bowling balls at targets 100 yards away. Hackett's team takes an early lead, but his plans are almost derailed when he loses a team member to heat stroke.

The final leg of the Scrappy Races tour takes the teams to the banks of Loch Lomond where they must adapt their vehicles for a race on water.

Four teams scour junkyards from California to the Vegas strip, facing huge challenges along the way. Under the new rule, each team has total of 12 hours to gather materials from a junkyard, then carry the materials to modify the team vehicle elsewhere. After each match, each team will retain its own vehicle to race in next match. In this episode, they have to modify their vehicles to go downhill from Sierra Nevada mountains and pass a giant log.

Fire Power chose to cut down the vehicle and convert it into a half-tread truck; Anarchy got bigger wheels, a nitrous kit, and cut down the weight of the hearse; Metal Maidens and Farm Boys each put a Baja skidpad under the vehicle, with Farm Boys cutting down its own truck.

In race day, Fire Power's tread had fallen before the match began, so the vehicle was run without treads. Anarchy won the race, followed by Farm Boys, Metal Maidens, Fire Power.

Final scores Anarchy: 4 (total 4), Farm Boys: 3 (total 6), Fire Power: 0 (total 0), Metal Maidens: 2 (total 6).

In the final challenge, the teams convert their vehicles to travel across Colorado River, but that's only the beginning. To win the race, the score leading team members must also drive the vehicle to Vegas, and cross the finish line at the Flamingo hotel.

At race day, Farm Boys passed the river first, followed by Metal Maidens and Fire Power. Anarchy's vehicle stuck at river bottom, and was forced to quit. At the second half the trip, the surviving teams retained their ranks.
