Sal's husband dies and at the funeral her son James announces he is firing her from the family owned clinic. Sal joins the local Women's Guild to pass her time, as does Kate the bereavement councillor.

When the Women's Guild decide they want a coffee room at the local church, they hold a "bring and buy" sale to pay for the health and safety standards.

When Sal and Tip discover that Eileen is adopted through the website "Genes Reunited", they give Eileen the phone number a blood relative. She is initially angry at the discovery, but this soon fades to happiness when she learns she has a brother.

While Delilah gets her car stuck, Sal and Tash argue over Tash doing a circus skills cours. They later make up and at the surgery Tip cleverly comes up with a plan to get Sal her old job back.

Rosie, Eileen and Queenie help the Vicar prepare for the harvest festival, but all comes to a stand still when Rosie sees a potato with Jesus' face on it.

Eileen fears the Guild will be closed when she reads aloud a letter indicating an impending visit from Guild Inspector Lady Anne Crump. Meanwhile Rosie embarks on a celebrity diet and the rest of the Guild help Elijah, an old man who recently lost his wife.

The Guild are organising Cinderella, the village pantomime, and Tash wants to play the lead role as she always does. However, Eileen thinks that, at 36, Tash is too old. Nevertheless, Sal persuades Eileen to let Tash have the role, while James and the Vicar play the Ugly sisters. On the night, Tip goes to the pub rather than perform as the Wicked Stepmother, while Tash gets on well with Prince Charming. Meanwhile, Sal gets help when she decides how to scatter Mike's ashes.

It is panto time. The chosen panto this year is Cinderella. Sal's daughter Tash usually plays the lead, but Eileen thinks she is too old. Sal manages to persuade her that if Michael (her husband) had been alive there would have been no question, and Tash gets the role. Finally the performance night arrives, but some cast think the best place to be is the pub, which means a slight alteration in the story! Sal decides it is time to scatter Michael's ashes, and enlists an unlikely helper, with unexpected results.

Sal is struggling as it's a year since her husband passed away, and her kids seem to have forgotten all about it. Whilst the Guild merge with a neighbouring website to create a website.

As the first anniversary of Mike's death approaches, Sal tells James how much she misses him. Sal teaches James how to be compassionate with his patients and Tash gets a job in tele sales. Meanwhile, the Guild launch a website and hold a Victorian tea so they can put the some photos on the website. However, Kate and Eileen argue over who will make the website. Delilah flies off her bike and is rushed to hospital.

Eileen believes that Sal and Susie are trying to overthrow her as president of the guild when really Sal's just trying to get Susie a pregnancy testing kit without the rest of the village being aware of her plan. And Tash is horrified when Spike buys a ticket to Glastonbury instead of sneaking in with her like normal.

Sal organises a ramble for the guild and tries to make Spike and Tash get together but Spike gets the wrong idea. After bumping into the reverend who's with a lady friend, the group get stuck under sudden fog and Sal gets confronted about mothering Tash too much.

Rosie takes a turn for the worst after there's some problems at the cheese factory and refuses to leave her house. Whilst the village's annual war re-enactment is at risk of being cancelled due to health and safety risks.

The Guild's rivalry with a neighbouring Guild goes one step further with a sporting duel; netball and bowls. Also, Tash receives an ultimatum.

Tash struggles to organise her immanent wedding to Spike and seeks help from her mother. Sal enlists the Guild to help create a magical Fairy Wedding for them.
