I really enjoyed it last season. I can't remember what happened to Reed Diamond's character. I'm thinking he is dead. Just saw the season premiere and I'm not happy. Not happy that "one of my favorites" got killed. Now that he is gone along with Reed Diamond, I am kind of upset. And I can't remember what happened to Christopher Meloni's character. I hope he's not gone too.

Reed Diamond was hung last season and his wife sold Ernestine. CM's character August is in jail at the moment. Your favorite had to have consequences for his actions in court. Im sure the Mrs. Will fight harder now. I watched the previous season marathon beforehand to catchup.

Thanks for the reminders about last season. I just really love Reed Diamond. Was John Hawkes a real person back then? It seemed like he might have been? I thought Marc Blucus did a good job in this role. I remember him from BtVS.

Reed was Marc's brother. He was an abolitionist last season with his wife.

Yeah, I'm really liking this show. I watched the first season's DVD and now am watching season 2 while it airs well I don't tend to watch the show live but have it set up on DVR.

I really loved it...in its entirety!! And above all, I'm one of those who die of boredom with period and/or historical films/series..!! Unless it's in the category of biopics of events or people. Rare in quality and relevance, for a long time, except the "Snowpiercer" series from the same field, but from the opposite period. To see and feel such a perfect reality and intensity!!! At certain times I was mentally invaded by the harshness and violence of the subject. To the point of being ashamed of all this violent humanity; which are among other explanations for all this discrimination in our modern society.. Have we really evolved..?? Those who haven't seen it, go there as soon as possible!! And sit down to listen to it in bursts...!!! ;-)
