Discuss The Boys

I liked this show, it was gritty and I thought it did a good job of talking about how unaccountable power breeds corruption. But the show's need to set up a second season really neutered the ending. There is no great triumph (nor any great loss), its very anti-climatic.

I think the ending fits really well. It anti-climatic, yes, but did you see that coming? The series kicks you right in the ass. With that kind of ending, all events and motivations of Butcher are obsolete. It shows how cruel the world they're living in really is.

Yeah, I was pretty sure they were still around. Its kind of like chekov's gun - if the writer makes a big deal about someone being dead, but you don't actually see the body, the obvious explanation is that they aren't really dead.
