故事延续在电视动画版《LoveLive! 第二季》的最后一话。当届“LoveLive! ”大赛优胜的μ's，因为三年级生的毕业，原先已做出解散并终止活动的决定。就在三年级生毕业典礼的这一天，当她们即将步出校园时，突然收到一份来自“LoveLive! ”大赛主办单位的通知。为了将第三届大赛办得更加盛大，大赛的主办单位对当届的总冠军（也就是μ's）发出请托，邀请她们前往美国进行Live，以增加“LoveLive! ”大赛在大众面前的能见度。 与未知的世界接触之后，一点一滴逐渐成长的9人，作为学园偶像，最后可以做点什么呢？在有限的时间内，μ's所呈现的最棒的Live会是什么样子呢？

校園偶像們的競賽大會「LOVE LIVE!」，上屆優勝者 μ's 在三年級畢業之後決定停止偶像活動，但就在畢業典禮舉行之後，μ's 接到了一個通知，另外一個演唱會即將展開！朝向未知的世界前進的9人，school idol 最後所面對就竟是什麼？在有限的時間之中，μ's 所呈現最棒的演唱會又會是什麼呢？

De 9 meisjes blijven leren en groeien in deze nieuwe en onbekende wereld. Wat is het laatste dat deze meisjes kunnen doen als schoolidolen? Although μ's, the defending champions of the school idol tournament, plans to dissolve their group after the graduation of their senior members, they receive news that leads them to holding a concert event! The 9 girls continue to learn and grow in this new and unfamiliar world. What is the last thing that these girls can do as school idols? With the clock ticking, what kind of meaning will the μ's members find in performing the most exciting live performance?

Alors que la cérémonie de graduation des troisième années se terminent, le groupe µ's s'était fait à l'idée que son parcours s'arrêterait là. Effectivement, trois de leur membres qui étaient en troisième année viennent d'être gradués du lycée et n'ont donc plus le statut de School Idol : il leur est donc impossible de continuer leur activité au sein du groupe. Néanmoins, Koizumi Hanayo reçoit soudainement un message très surprenant qui marque alors le début d'un nouveau départ pour le groupe !

Ein spannendes Abenteuer im Herzen Amerikas wartet auf Honoka und ihre Freundinnen. Ebenso müssen sich die neun Mädchen nun entscheiden: Wie geht es weiter mit μ’s? Ein großer Auftritt in Akihabara, zu dem auch die ehemals größten Konkurrenten A-RISE eingeladen sind, soll die Entscheidung bringen.

Seguito di Love Live! School Idol Project 2. La storia si ambienta nella scuola superiore Otonokizaka di Tokyo situata tra i quartieri di Akihabara, Kanda e Jibonchou. A causa del calo delle iscrizioni ne viene decisa la chiusura che si realizzerà nel giro di tre anni con il diploma delle studentesse del primo anno. Per cercare di impedire la chiusura della scuola, una delle studentesse del secondo anno, Honoka Kousaka, assieme alle amiche Umi Sonoda e Kotori Minami, decide di formare un gruppo di idol scolastico con l'obbiettivo di diventare popolari e attirare l'attenzione sulla loro scuola. All inizio le tre ragazze sono sole, ma assieme ad altre sei compagne formeranno alla fine il gruppo delle u's (Muse).

Devido aos eventos do recente Love Live !, o μs alcançou o estrelato eminente, o que resulta em multidões que os enxameiam sempre que aparecem em público.
