《炸猪排DJ扬太郎》动画全集原名《とんかつDJアゲ太郎》这部著作是2015年1月份连载于《JUMP+》上，故事的主人公扬太郎虽然经营者家里的炸猪排店，但无时不刻都想变成一名专业的DJ，而扬太郎更是领悟到炸猪排和做DJ二者共通的当地，因而他便立志既要变成一名能炸出好吃猪排的厨师又要变成一名专业DJ。

Agetarou works at his family's tonkatsu restaurant in Shibuya, but he's not very excited by the work. One day, he takes a delivery to the staff of a night club, and the worker lets him in to enjoy the club for a while. Agetarou finds that he loves the club, with its relaxed people and cute girls, all enjoying the music supplied by the DJ. He continues going to the club, until the night comes when the guest American DJ Big Master Fly puts on a show. Agetarou is inspired by Big Master Fly, and realizes that the groove of being a DJ is very similar to the groove of being a tonkatsu chef. Now Agetarou is determined to master both disciplines, though he is most excited to become a DJ!

Agetarou travaille au restaurant tonkatsu de sa famille à Shibuya, mais il n'est pas très excité par le travail. Un jour, il prend une livraison au personnel d'une boîte de nuit, et le travailleur le laisse entrer pour profiter du club pendant un moment. Agetarou trouve qu'il aime le club, avec ses gens détendus et ses jolies filles, tout en appréciant la musique fournie par le DJ. Il continue à aller au club, jusqu'à ce que la nuit arrive quand le DJ américain invité Big Master Fly met sur un spectacle. Agetarou est inspiré par Big Master Fly, et se rend compte que le groove d'être un DJ est très similaire au groove d'être un chef de tonkatsu. Die Eltern des dummen, doch aufrichten Agetarou Katsumata führen seit drei Generationen ein Tonkatsu-Restaurant. (Tonkatsu sind panierte Schweinekoteletts.) Katsumata legt nebenbei in einem Nachtclub auf, ist jedoch noch ein Anfänger.

Agetarou è un giovane un po' tonto. Da tre generazioni la sua famiglia gestisce un ristorante a Shibuya specializzato nella cucina del tonkatsu (una sorta di cotoletta di maiale impanata e fritta) e sembra proprio che il destino del giovane sia quello di raccogliere passivamente questa eredità. Una sera, mentre effettua una consegna, scopre il magico mondo dei club e delle discoteche. Stordito dall'ambiente capisce che a tirare le redini della faccenda è colui che sta dietro alla consolle: il DJ. Quali sorprese riserverà l'incontro tra Agetarou e il mondo del divertimento?
