Den nybagte brud Grace er lykkelig for at have fundet Alex Le Domas, som kommer fra en rig, prestigefyldt familie, på hvis gods deres bryllupsfest holdes. Hun siger derfor glædeligt ja, da hun bliver bedt om at deltage i familiens excentriske, traditionelle indvielsesleg, men stemningen tager en drastisk drejning, da det går op for Grace, at legen går ud på at kæmpe for livet, og alle deltager.
