正当卡尔文奢望着理发店安安稳稳的营业下去时，旁边忽然开了间美容院，新潮的设计、先进的设备、优秀的理发师以及周到的服务，尤其是开朗热情的理发师吉娜(奎因•莱提法 饰)十分受人欢迎。很快，美容院立刻引起了社区人们的注意，吸引了社区大部分的顾客，甚至连理发店的老顾客们也开始动摇，打算把脚挪到旁边的美容院去了。
