Apparently the film has an average shot length a little over 7 minutes or so... This film has only 10 shots... The pacing is unlike anything in current movies...

It really helps with maintaining the tension...

It’s my personal favorite Hitchcock movie. I love the dialog between the characters.

Yeah apparently when you saw a real close up of a person's back or similar, that's when they changed the shot as you say. Not sure how to word it relaxed Last time I watched the movie I counted them.

Hey, what you mean is only 10 takes, not shots. I read somebody's recent post about this film and thought about what you're referring to, but I was unsure of the exact number. Anyway, a shot refers to how a camera is positioned to photograph something; a take is an amount of film used from when the camera and other stuff are turned on, to when they're turned off.

Cheers.

yeah, i meant the average length from one cut to the next... thanks
