Popeye visits the bullfight only because of lovely Senorita Olive. He finds himself accidentally in the toreador box, even though he doesn't want to fight because it's cruelty to animals. Popeye rides the bull like a bronco, then gets tossed around a bit. The bull plants Popeye in the ground and attacks; the crowd turns on Popeye. Olive comes down to help and the bull chases her. The crowd throws vegetables at Popeye, including (fortunately) spinach.

Popeye ne visite la corrida qu’à cause de la charmante Senorita Olive. Il se retrouve accidentellement dans la boîte du toreador, même s’il ne veut pas se battre car c’est de la cruauté envers les animaux. Popeye chevauche le taureau comme un bronco, puis se fait ballotter un peu. Le taureau plante Popeye dans le sol et attaque; la foule tourne sur Popeye. Olive descend pour l’aider et le taureau la poursuit. La foule jette des légumes à Popeye, y compris (heureusement) des épinards.
