Can't wait to see this one again. Basil Rathbone and Bela Lugosi. Paired up again, from Son of Frankenstein. Sherlock Holmes vs. Dracula lol

I hadn't known that there's the 1941 film of this title, as I always immediately think of the '34 movie in association with the title. Interesting that Bela Lugosi is in both films. It appears, judging from the TMDb overviews, that the stories are completely different and unrelated.

I've only seen this version from 1941, once before, and again on Svengoolie. He showed a very similar film around the same time (a cat-themed month?) called Shadow of the Cat, 1961. I couldn't remember that title until I searched for actor Alan Wheatley, who portrayed the police inspector. Wheatley was (my favorite) Sheriff of Nottingham to Richard Greene's Robin Hood. It might have been a Hammer film. The 1934 movie you cited is so very cool because it's one of the few with both Bela and Boris!

Indeed! Plus the '34 film, as it's Pre-Code, has a bit of "everything and the kitchen sink" included in its mix.
