Not obvious to me how "You're so cool" means "go to the bathroom and avoid the bloodbath."

The way the scene was filmed, they appear connected to me. I'm betting it's an editing issue, frames got chopped somewhere in the movie that might better have set up that particular sequence. Sure I could be wrong, but does that napkin writing thing make any sense to be shown at that time for no reason at all?

I never read the script or researched it online, so it must have been in the versions I have watched multiple times.
