Somebody already made a thread about this that's right here on the first screen. If you don't mind my asking, why'd you feel compelled to do this one? Why not just post on the first thread?

If you had bothered to look I was the one who left the others. I left one on HIS page, one here for Alien fans, & one at the TV show he was most well known for.

I didn't see much of Kotto's work, but I admired his acting. Sometimes, I'll listen to the cut "Yaphet" on Miles Davis' Big Fun double album and wonder if it's about Kotto.

It's just that mech had posted a post that stated much the same thing as yours on this page, too. That's what I was referring to, that's all.

When I post something like an "obit"-style post (or a happy birthday post), I always look back a few screens to make sure that one hasn't already been done on the person. That's just a suggestion for you. That way, you can avoid repetitiveness on the boards.

Hmmmm, y'know, I didn't think I had that many active posters on ig... I just logged off of my account here, so I could see what the message board looks like with no one on ignore - and mechajutaro's post about Y.K. was on the first page, along with this thread.

I was really going by the news stories I saw on my news feed, most of them were only a couple of hours old at the time I saw them. So, I didn't look back that far & only really checked this movie & Homicide. Mech's was posted at four in the morning. But like I said I usually catch them but this time, nope.

Very sad news, R.I.P. Mr Kotto.

It's even more depressing when you realise 4 of the 7 actors in this film have now passed away 😢
