I just caught this on Netflix and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. As someone else has said, it takes 15 minutes or so to get into the humor, and while this movie wasn't laugh-out-loud funny for me, what really made it enjoyable was the storyline and many farcical twists and turns. In the end an enjoyable--if heartwarming--experience, unexpected as it was.

British humor is not American humor. I've only seen bits and pieces of Anchorman and found what I saw to be really dumb.
There's a lot of comedic subtlety in Mindhorn that would be lost on most of an American audience.

Anchorman was dumb for sure, but also category-defining in it's release. One of the most quotable--and influential--comedies of it's time. Bold, brash, stupid and hilarious. And for the record: "I'm kind of a big deal." :D
