Most people (if they think of this 1962 conflict) think that: John Kennedy got all the missiles out of Cuba with his demands to Khruschev right? WRONG!!!! Actually the Soviets got to keep almost 100 missiles in Cuba after the missile pullout demanded by Kennedy. The Soviets planned to give Castro control of the remaining missiles but they met Castro and he had crazy, highly destructive plans on his very sick brain. The Soviets (in their own selfish fear of American retaliation if Castro had carried out his violent, ill plans with the remaining missiles) took out the near 100 warheads.

If by any chance you are a Cuban refugee (or at least child of one) reading this do not feel stupid about having left Cuba (family having left Cuba). Castro was 100% out of his skull!!!
