IMDb lists this as being 3 hours and released in 1976. Film journals indicate it actually originated from a sprawling 4-hour West German television production from 1978, cut down to 90 minutes for airing on WNET-PBS in 1981 with new narration and commentary. This is what has been "remastered" and re-released by Corinth Films. Would love to see that original miniseries someday.
