Does anybody know where I can see “Another Time, Another Place" (1992)? I am writing the biography of actress Alexandra Hay, who stars in this. She filmed her role for this in 1971, but the film wasn't completed and released until 1992.
A VHS was released in America on February 12, 1992. I don't know the company who put it out, however. The image used for this entry is the Polish VHS cover, and Neptune Video put it out in Poland.
Years ago I came across a scan of the American VHS cover on Pinterest, but I didn't save it and it has since been deleted. It was a "floating heads" style of cover with Martin Sheen and Alexandra Hay, and I believe Rod McCary. The VHS is unbelievably scarce and second hand copies have not shown up on eBay or Amazon in the two years I've been looking for it.
If anybody is able and willing to help me see this film, please write to me:
Thank you.

Hello DS,
I'm not sure if this is helpful, but here are 2 web documents that may be of interest to you. Both refer to the Polish VHS of the film that you are looking for, but I don't speak any Polish and it's hard for me to find more details. Perhaps you'll be able to find someone who speaks Polish and who can help you with that? Good luck!
1.) https://archiwum.allegro.pl/oferta/c-2247-inny-czas-i-miejsce-i7878195165.html
According to this webpage, someone tried to sell/auction the Polish VHS in March 2019 and nobody wanted to buy it back then. Apparently, Zduńska Wola is a small town in Central Poland, and the seller drukarnia14 is still very active on this platform selling old VHS among other things. Perhaps this person still owns this Polish VHS and you can try to contact her/him directly? Right now, I was not able to find any contact information on this page - perhaps you have to register on this platform to see the contact information and ask for the VHS? I don't know, but it's worth a shot, I think.
2.) http://docplayer.pl/29673792-Spis-filmow-slaskiej-biblioteki-filmowej.html
This webpage includes a .doc file that I can access in my Firefox browser (I'm not sure if this works in all browsers). When you scroll down to page 5, you can see the line:
Inny czas i miejsce - Clyde Ware - USA - 1991
Again, this seems to be the Polish VHS of the film that you're looking for. When I put the Polish title of this document ("Spis filmów Śląskiej Biblioteki Filmowej") into Google Translate, it reads "List of films from the Silesian Film Library." The Silesian Film Library is located in Katowice, Southern Poland -> you can find the official website for the regional film archive here:
English: http://silesiafilm.com/en/silesian-film-archive/
Polish: http://silesiafilm.com/filmoteka-slaska/
If I understand the infos on their website correctly, they collect all kinds of media and are open for requests by people like you who look for rare films. Maybe they could even send you a copy of the film on DVD - if that's possible? However, I tried to connect the .doc file above to this website in any way, but I was not able to find or search the title in any official library catalogue. So, I'm not sure if this VHS actually still exists in this library (the document above is 4 years old) or if this info is old news? But you might want to ask them directly -> the contact information is on this Polish webpage:
http://silesiafilm.com/kontakt-z-filmoteka-slaska/
Again - good luck!

Wow, thank you so very much for doing the research and posting your findings. Your findings are very helpful regarding the Polish tape. I think it may have been more widely distributed in Poland than it was in the US, for whatever reason, and the Polish cover is the only one currently online (but I saw the American cover a couple years ago, but I didn't save it and now it's gone from the internet).
I definitely should've clarified that I'm in the United States and I'm looking for the American VHS released in 1992, though, but I don't know the company who put it out.
I did find that somebody was selling the American VHS on eBay in 2017, and I've reached out to this person to see if they still have it.
Thank you so much again for your response.

No worries, I assumed that's the case. I also tried to find more info about the American VHS, but I found absolutely nothing else about it.
Oh, good luck with that!
